Club Championship Finals Day - Sunday 31st July
The club championship is now under way. Please ensure that you arrange your matches in good time and enter the results on the draw sheets which are just inside the main clubhouse. The committee are working hard to organise what should be a fantastic finals day. We will be selling tickets in advance for this event so please invite all your friends and family to help make this a great day.
 Sports Clubs - Open Events in Sutton
We are taking part in an initiative being organised by Sutton Council to provide opportunities for residents to attend sports clubs for open days and taster sessions. This is part of the work we are involved in being part of 'Team Sutton'. A full schedule of events will take place as part of the campaign detailed in the Sutton Scene. Wallington Tennis Club will be opening our club sessions up to non-members during the week commending 4th July 2011 and we would appreciate your support in welcoming any potential new members that attend on the following club sessions:-
Tuesday 5th July - 10.30am - 12.30pm
Wednesday 6th July - 4 - 6pm Juniors under 16
Thursday 7th July - 6.30 - 8.30pm
Saturday 9th July - 2 - 4.30pm - Adults
Sunday 10th July - 2 - 4.30pm - Adults and over 12's

Club Championship
The date for the finals of the Club Championship has now been set for Sunday 31st July 2011. The competition is open to all members, regardless of ability and we would encourage everyone to take part. Please ensure your entry forms are returned by Saturday 7th May to ensure you are included in the draw.
February 2011 - Hard courts cleaned
It took three days for both hard courts to be professionally jet washed. The courts are now looking bright and shiny but more importantly are free from slippery patches, and the deep clean should help to prolong their life. Some of the small holes that had appeared on the courts have been filled and the tennis nets have been properly reattached to their posts. Thanks to netball for sharing the cleaning costs.
September 2010 - Club Championship 2010 Finals Day
After a gap of 18 years, 2010 saw Wallington Tennis Club restart their club tournament which took place over the summer and culminated with the Finals Day in September. The grass courts were in pristine condition and official LTA umpires and line judges with Wimbledon centre court experience were on hand to ensure professional adjudication and added greatly to the excitement of the day. The weather remained kind, allowing a full afternoon of play with serve and volleys, topspin lobs and cross court winners all on show to delight the spectators. The event was a huge success with live music and a barbecue finishing off what proved to be a fitting end to the summer tennis season in Wallington. A big thank you to all those who supported this event.
