Club Rules

Hard courts

Hours of play: 8am - dusk (floodlights available until 9pm, except for Sundays and Bank holidays)
No chewing gum on the courts please.
Wear correct footwear ie. trainers.
Please clearly mark your balls as if they stray onto the grass courts in winter you will not be able to retrieve them. Paul Weaver will retain the balls and return them to their owners when possible.

Hours of play: 11am-8.00pm, May – September (exact dates weather dependent)
Please do not play on the courts if the grass is wet to prevent premature wear.
Correct tennis shoes without deep ribbing, studs or spikes must be worn at all times to prevent damage to the grass courts.
Please do not allow children onto the grass courts unsupervised.
Coaching is not authorised on the grass courts.

If the courts are full and other members are waiting to play, please finish the set you are playing.
During club sessions players should immediately form a doubles game if additional members turn up to play.
Club sessions will take place on the Hard and Grass courts (weather permitting).
Priority is given to men/women during the nominated men/women club sessions
Under no circumstances should members trespass into neighbours’ gardens to retrieve tennis balls.
Please do not take any glasses onto the courts. Use plastic bottles for drinks.
Please refrain from using foul language.

Wait for a suitable break in play before collecting a ball from an adjacent court.
Wait for a convenient break in play before going on to court.
Do not walk behind players while play is in progress, please wait for an appropriate break.
